Monetizing AI Video Clips: PPV Price Limits, Labels and Platform Rules

You can sell AI video clips as pay-per-view (PPV), but only inside two sets of limits: each platform’s price range and its AI rules. On OnlyFans a paid post or message costs $3 to $100, and an AI clip has to clearly feature you, the verified creator, with a label such as #ai. Fanvue allows clips of a fully AI creator, and Fansly does not allow photorealistic AI clips at all.

No platform publishes what AI clips sell for, and we do not quote unverified “benchmarks” here. What the platforms do publish is their price limits, their fee and their AI rules. All of the figures below come from their own pages, read on 5 October 2026.

Where you can sell AI video clips

Start with the platform, because the rules decide which clips you can sell at all.

OnlyFans. The Terms of Use allow AI-generated, altered or enhanced content only if “it clearly features the verified Creator”, a fan can tell it is AI through “a signifier such as #ai, or #AIGenerated”, and it follows the Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy. The Help Centre article Can I post AI content on OnlyFans? says the same. Its moderation guide lists “accounts or content that are wholly AI-generated” and content that “features heavily altered images” among what cannot be shared.

Fanvue. Its help article Is AI content allowed on Fanvue? allows fully AI-generated content with a disclosure that is “clear and prominent”. Face-swapped content needs the real model behind it to be verified.

MYM. Its AI content guide asks for “Virtual Image” in the description or the hashtags #AI or #AIgenerated, and allows deepfakes only with written permission from the person depicted.

Fansly. Its AI content article says “Photorealistic AI-generated content is not allowed on Fansly” and names face-swapped content in its prohibited list. Realistic AI clips do not belong there.

PPV price limits on each platform

Your price ladder has to fit inside these ranges.

On OnlyFans, a paid message and a pay-to-unlock post both run from $3 to $100. Tips go from $3 to $100, or $200 for fans who have been on the platform at least 4 months. The Help Centre page on payout percentages says creators keep 80% of any fan payment.

On Fanvue, a post can be priced between $3 and $500, and the standard earning rate is 80%.

One practical consequence: on OnlyFans, a single clip cannot be sold for more than $100 as one paid message or post. If a custom request is worth more to you, split the delivery into parts or price it as a series.

How to build a price ladder for AI clips

Without trustworthy industry data, the honest approach is to set a simple ladder, watch your own sales numbers, and adjust. A ladder has four steps.

1. Free teaser. A few seconds of motion on your feed or in a welcome message. Its job is to show the clip exists, not to earn.
2. Entry clip. A short clip near the bottom of the range. It tells you who is willing to pay at all.
3. Main clip. Your standard product, priced higher. Most of your PPV volume sits here.
4. Bundle or series. Several clips on one theme, priced above a single clip but below the sum of the parts.

Then let your numbers move the prices. If almost everyone who opens an entry clip also buys the main clip, the gap between them may be too small. If almost nobody buys the main clip, try a lower price or a stronger teaser before you make more of the same.

Keep a price list per account and per platform. The same clip can carry a different price on OnlyFans and on Fanvue, because the limits differ.

Describe AI clips honestly

A fan who pays for a clip should know what it is. The OnlyFans Acceptable Use Policy prohibits “Inaccurate information including misleading descriptions of media”. Do not sell an AI clip as a filmed custom or a live recording.

In practice:

• Put #ai or #AIGenerated in the caption of every AI clip on OnlyFans, and in the message text when you send it as PPV.
• On Fanvue, keep the AI disclosure in your bio and caption, or as a watermark on the clip.
• On MYM, use “Virtual Image” or #AI in the description.
• When a fan asks for a custom, say up front that it will be AI-made.

Free accounts and PPV

You do not need a paid subscription to sell clips. OnlyFans lets you run a free account and earn through pay-per-view content and direct messages instead. The subscription price, when you charge one, can be set between $4.99 and $50 a month.

A free account brings more people into your messages, and PPV does the earning. A paid account gives you a base income, and PPV sits on top of it. Which works better depends on your audience, so test one model at a time.

Protect the clips you sell

OnlyFans offers a free watermarking service in its Privacy and Safety settings, with custom text. Turn it on before you send paid clips.

The platform also says fans may not download or copy content, and that doing so breaches its Terms of Service. The same goes the other way: do not take clips or photos from other creators’ accounts to use in your own content.

Making the clips

A short checklist before you send a PPV clip

1. Right platform? OnlyFans only for clips that clearly feature you. Not Fansly for photorealistic AI.
2. Labelled? #ai or #AIGenerated on OnlyFans, the platform’s own label elsewhere.
3. Priced inside the limits? $3 to $100 on OnlyFans, $3 to $500 on Fanvue.
4. Described honestly? No “filmed just for you” on an AI clip.
5. Consent on file? For any face that is not yours or your persona’s.
