# Why Fanvue Embraces AI Creators While Fansly and OnlyFans Draw the Line

Fanvue is the subscription platform that has gone furthest for AI creators: it allows fully AI-generated content and treats AI creators as a verified account category. MYM takes a similar line with its own labels. Fansly and OnlyFans draw the line. Fansly bans photorealistic AI content even when labelled, and since October 2026 OnlyFans only allows AI content that clearly features the verified creator.

An earlier version of this article grouped Fansly with Fanvue as AI-friendly. For realistic content, that is wrong, and this version corrects it. Each platform's rules below are quoted from its own help pages or terms, read on 5 October 2026.

## How Fanvue embraces AI creators

Fanvue's [AI content policy](https://help.fanvue.com/en/articles/9538738-is-ai-content-allowed-on-fanvue) starts with a welcome: "Fanvue is a hub for creativity and self-expression, and that's why we're pleased to welcome AI creators to our community." It allows "fully AI-generated content" and also face-swapped content, as long as "you MUST verify the real model behind the AI."

The condition is disclosure. It "must be clear and prominent so that other community members know the media is not authentic", and it "may be displayed on the profile bio, content caption, or as a watermark on the media itself."

Fanvue's page on [spotting AI creators](https://help.fanvue.com/en/articles/14290142-how-do-i-know-if-a-creator-is-ai) explains why the category works. "AI creators are a fully recognised and verified category on Fanvue. Every AI creator account goes through the same verification process as human creators." It also says "Fanvue is required by law to clearly label AI creator accounts" and "Every AI creator has an AI tag displayed in their profile bio."

The same page points subscribers to the label before they pay, because once they subscribe "our standard non-refundable policy applies." That is the logic of the whole approach. A fan who buys from an AI creator was told it was AI.

There is one limit on what counts as an AI creator. Fanvue's page on [AI-generated models](https://help.fanvue.com/en/articles/9538752-what-is-an-ai-generated-model) says "If your model's body is of a real person, even if the face is AI, this model is classed as a real model and must be verified as such." And creators "cannot tell fans that you are a real person in posts and chats."

## MYM's approach: labels and an AI badge

MYM's [AI content guide](https://support.mym.fans/hc/en-us/articles/14997634314524-AI-Generated-Content-on-MYM-What-You-Need-to-Know) says "it is possible as a Creator to use AI within your content, provided you adhere to the conditions outlined below." Creators must tell subscribers that content is AI-generated "by indicating "Virtual Image" in the description or using the hashtags #AI or #AIgenerated."

MYM adds its own signal at account level: "This badge is applied to your account by MYM and is represented by the mention "AI profile."" Deepfakes are allowed only with "written permission from the person being deepfaked", and MYM warns that a sexual deepfake published without meeting its conditions risks "imprisonment and fines."

## Why Fansly draws the line at photorealism

Fansly accepts virtual creators, but not realistic ones. Its article on [AI-generated content](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/12315578-ai-generated-content-on-fansly) says "Photorealistic AI-generated content is not allowed on Fansly." It adds: "labeling content as AI-generated does not make photorealistic or lifelike AI content permissible."

The terms quoted in that article explain where Fansly sees the problem. They prohibit "photorealistic or lifelike content that is substantially generated or created through artificial intelligence, including deepfakes, face-swapped content, or synthetic media designed to appear as real humans" and "any content that misrepresents AI-generated material as authentic human performance or creation." For Fansly, a realistic AI image is a risk of deception even with a label on it.

What remains open is narrow: "While you can apply as a non-photorealistic virtual entity on Fansly, you still need to register using your real legal information for verification purposes." A stylised character can apply. A realistic AI model cannot, and neither can face-swapped content.

## Why OnlyFans draws the line at the verified creator

OnlyFans built its rules around one verified person per account. The Help Centre article [Can I post AI content on OnlyFans?](https://onlyfans.com/help/196/205/211) starts with "All content posted on OnlyFans must belong to a verified Creator."

The [Terms of Use](https://onlyfans.com/terms) updated in October 2026 turned that into the AI rule. AI content is allowed only if "it clearly features the verified Creator", if fans can tell it is AI "with a signifier such as #ai, or #AIGenerated", and if it follows the Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy. The Help Centre page on [content moderation](https://onlyfans.com/help/196/205/206) lists "accounts or content that are wholly AI-generated" and content that "features heavily altered images" among the things that cannot be shared.

So OnlyFans welcomes AI as a tool for real creators, and rules out AI as the creator.

## What every platform agrees on

The four platforms disagree about AI personas. On three points they largely agree.

- **A real person is verified.** Fanvue verifies AI creator accounts like human ones, Fansly asks virtual creators for their real legal identity, and OnlyFans ties every account to a verified creator.
- **AI is disclosed.** Each platform asks for a visible label, and none lets you present AI content as an unedited real person.
- **No real likeness without consent.** A real person's face needs that person's consent everywhere, and on Fansly a photorealistic face swap is banned even with consent.

## Choosing a platform for content created with AI

Pick the platform by what you make, not the other way round.

- **AI content of yourself:** OnlyFans, Fanvue and MYM, each with its label. Not Fansly if the result is photorealistic.
- **An original, realistic AI persona:** Fanvue or MYM, with the AI disclosure in place from the first post.
- **A stylised, clearly non-human-looking character:** Fansly may accept it as a non-photorealistic virtual entity.
