- A photorealistic virtual model cannot launch on OnlyFans: since October 2026, AI content must clearly feature the verified creator, and wholly AI-generated accounts can be removed.
- Fansly bans photorealistic AI content, including face swaps, even when labelled. Only non-photorealistic virtual creators can apply, using their real legal identity.
- Fanvue and MYM accept fully AI creators with clear AI labels, so that is where a realistic virtual model can launch.
- On OnlyFans, the AI route that still works is labelled AI content of yourself, the verified creator.

Not a photorealistic one. Since October 2026, OnlyFans only allows AI content that clearly features the verified creator, and Fansly bans photorealistic AI content even when it is labelled. A realistic virtual model can still launch on Fanvue or MYM with clear AI labels, and on OnlyFans the AI route that works is labelled AI content of yourself.

An earlier version of this guide described a 48-hour launch of a virtual model on OnlyFans and Fansly. The platforms' rules no longer allow that, so this version explains what each one accepts and how to launch where a virtual model is welcome. Platform rules were read on 5 October 2026.

## The rules at a glance

| Platform | Photorealistic virtual model | AI content of yourself | Label required |
| :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- |
| **OnlyFans** | Not allowed | Allowed | #ai or #AIGenerated |
| **Fansly** | Not allowed | Not allowed if photorealistic | Labelling does not make it allowed |
| **Fanvue** | Allowed | Allowed | Clear disclosure plus an AI tag |
| **MYM** | Allowed | Allowed | "Virtual Image", #AI or #AIgenerated |

## Why OnlyFans says no

The [OnlyFans Terms of Use](https://onlyfans.com/terms), last updated October 2026, allow AI content only if "it clearly features the verified Creator", if fans can tell it is AI "with a signifier such as #ai, or #AIGenerated", and if it follows the Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy.

A virtual model is, by definition, not the verified creator. The Help Centre page on [what content you can post](https://onlyfans.com/help/196/205/206) closes the gap: content cannot be shared if it "features a creator whose identity we cannot verify, including accounts or content that are wholly AI-generated, or features heavily altered images."

Verifying your own identity and then posting a persona who looks nothing like you does not work either. The persona fails the "clearly features the verified Creator" condition, and an edit that turns you into someone else is the kind of heavily altered image the same page lists.

## Why Fansly says no

Fansly's article on [AI-generated content](https://help.fansly.com/en/articles/12315578-ai-generated-content-on-fansly) is direct: "Photorealistic AI-generated content is not allowed on Fansly." Its prohibited list includes "deepfakes, face-swapped content, or synthetic media designed to appear as real humans", and it adds that "labeling content as AI-generated does not make photorealistic or lifelike AI content permissible."

There is a narrow opening. "While you can apply as a non-photorealistic virtual entity on Fansly, you still need to register using your real legal information for verification purposes." A stylised, clearly non-human-looking character can apply. A realistic virtual model cannot.

## Where a virtual model can launch

### Fanvue

Fanvue's [AI content policy](https://help.fanvue.com/en/articles/9538738-is-ai-content-allowed-on-fanvue) says "we do allow fully AI-generated content on the platform." The disclosure "must be clear and prominent" and "may be displayed on the profile bio, content caption, or as a watermark on the media itself."

Its page on [AI creators](https://help.fanvue.com/en/articles/14290142-how-do-i-know-if-a-creator-is-ai) adds that "Every AI creator account goes through the same verification process as human creators" and that "Every AI creator has an AI tag displayed in their profile bio." So you still verify your real identity as the operator.

One detail matters for realism. Fanvue's page on [AI-generated models](https://help.fanvue.com/en/articles/9538752-what-is-an-ai-generated-model) says "If your model's body is of a real person, even if the face is AI, this model is classed as a real model and must be verified as such." An AI face on a real performer's body is not a virtual model on Fanvue.

### MYM

MYM's [AI content guide](https://support.mym.fans/hc/en-us/articles/14997634314524-AI-Generated-Content-on-MYM-What-You-Need-to-Know) says creators can use AI "provided you adhere to the conditions". You must mark AI content by "indicating "Virtual Image" in the description or using the hashtags #AI or #AIgenerated." MYM applies an AI badge to the account, shown as "AI profile". Deepfakes of a real person need that person's written permission.

## How to launch a virtual model on Fanvue or MYM

### 1. Design an original persona

Start from a blank page, not from a real person. Decide the look (face, hair, eyes, body, skin tone), the niche and a few lines of backstory. Never base the face on someone you know, a creator or a celebrity. Our guide on [how to create an AI influencer](/how-to-create-an-ai-influencer) walks through the design step.

### 2. Generate a launch library

Before the account goes live, create AI images and short clips for the first few weeks. A workable mix:

- **SFW teasers** for social profiles: selfies, outfits, everyday scenes.
- **Feed content** for subscribers.
- **Paid sets** for pay-per-view messages.
- **Short video clips** for previews.

Vary the scenes and outfits, never the face. A fan who sees a slightly different person in every post stops trusting the account.

### 3. Verify the account

Fanvue puts AI creator accounts through the same verification as human creators. On either platform, complete creator verification with your real legal identity. Never use a fake ID or someone else's documents, and never have another person verify an account that you will run.

### 4. Turn on the disclosure

On Fanvue, put the AI disclosure in the bio, and use captions or watermarks where it helps. On MYM, label posts "Virtual Image", #AI or #AIgenerated. Never tell fans the persona is a real person.

### 5. Promote it

Post SFW teasers on your social accounts and link the subscription page. Check each social platform's own AI-labelling rules before you post there.

## The AI route that still works on OnlyFans

If you are a creator yourself, AI can still save you shoots on OnlyFans. Train an AI model on your own original photos, generate content that clearly looks like you, and add #ai or #AIGenerated to every caption. The Help Centre article [Can I post AI content on OnlyFans?](https://onlyfans.com/help/196/205/211) states the rule in short form: "All content posted on OnlyFans must belong to a verified Creator."

Do not build that model from photos downloaded from OnlyFans. The October 2026 Terms prohibit using OnlyFans content "to train or enhance any software, machine learning or artificial intelligence system."

## How FansCreator fits

FansCreator lets you create an AI creator from scratch, choosing hair, eyes, body, ethnicity, skin tone and more, or train a model from reference photos of yourself. The identity stays the same across [NSFW AI images](/nsfw-ai-image-generator) and [AI video](/nsfw-ai-video-generator), so you can generate AI images for a launch library in one sitting.

FansCreator does not post or schedule for you. You download each file and publish it yourself, which keeps the platform choice and the AI label in your hands. Faces must be your own, your AI persona's, or someone's who gave provable consent, as the [Terms of Use](/terms) require. You can start on the free plan.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I put a virtual model on OnlyFans in 2026?

Not an original AI persona. The October 2026 Terms allow AI content only if it clearly features the verified Creator and is labelled, and the Help Centre lists accounts or content that are wholly AI-generated among the things OnlyFans removes.

### Does Fansly allow AI models?

Only non-photorealistic ones. Fansly says photorealistic AI-generated content is not allowed, including face-swapped content, and that labelling it as AI does not make it permissible. Virtual creators still register with their real legal identity.

### Where can I launch a realistic AI model?

Fanvue allows fully AI-generated content with a clear and prominent disclosure and shows an AI tag on AI creator profiles. MYM allows AI content labelled Virtual Image, #AI or #AIgenerated and adds an AI profile badge.

### How long does it take to launch a virtual model?

Generating a starting library can take an afternoon, but platform verification times are not published, so plan for the review to take as long as it takes rather than a fixed number of hours.
